In previous years we have presented a concert featuring winners of the Windsor and Maidenhead Symphony Orchestra's Young Musicians Competition. These have included Martin James Bartlett (piano) who went on to win BBC Young Musician 2014, and Euan Miller (oboe) who was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician Competition 2021, having won the Woodwind class.

This year our Rising Stars are Daisy Harrison (flute) and Maya Crawford-Phillips (violin).

They'll be accompanied by Anita d'Attellis piano
Tickets: Free, including tea and home-made cakes. There will be a collection in support of the Dr Turnbull Fund.
This concert is now full and we can't add any more audience. Maya Crawford-Phillips
Daisy first started playing the flute when she was 8 years old and in March 2023 she attained a distinction in her ARSM Performance Diploma. She is also grade 8 on the saxophone, and is working towards her grade 8 on clarinet having started lessons this year. She is currently studying for 4 A-levels and is hoping to study music at a conservatoire. She plays in the County Symphony orchestra and County Sax ensemble as well as in 3 other bands and ensembles at Berkshire Music Trust.

Maya is a Swedish/English violinist, currently studying with Boris Brovtsyn at the Yehudi Menuhin School. In 2019 she was selected to participate in the Young Musicians Academy, and participates in a series of masterclasses every year with many internationally acclaimed musicians. Maya has competed in National and International competitions such as Polstjärnepriset, Øresunds solist, SIMC and Northern International Competition in which she received 1st place. She was also the concertmaster of the Polstjärnepriset orchestra, performing in major concert halls in both Sweden and Norway.
